  • Founder

    Derrick Jones, originally from South Beach, Florida, has had a diverse career before founding Derrick Jones Studio in Rome. His journey began in the fashion industry, where he honed his creative skills and experience in design and merchandising. Early on, Jones worked in visual merchandising for notable brands such as Macy’s in New York and Burberry in Rome. His work at Burberry spanned over 14 years, where he contributed to shaping the visual identity and retail environments of the luxury brand. This extensive experience in high-end fashion gave him a strong foundation in aesthetics and functional design  .

    Before transitioning to his own creative studio, Jones also explored entrepreneurial ventures, starting with his inventive product “Cuff to Cup” which emerged from his desire to upcycle materials into functional art. His focus on sustainability and design has been a central theme of his career, both in his past corporate roles and his present studio work .

    His background in fashion and design, coupled with his passion for sustainability and creativity, laid the groundwork for the opening of Derrick Jones Studio in Rome, where he now develops and showcases products that blend functional artistry with eco-conscious principles .ckground and Philosophy
